Sixth Grade Camp

6th Grade Camp

Camp updates

Thursday

We experienced a change of weather today with cooler temps and the threat of rain. Students still managed to stay very busy with archery, candle making, Earth and Water classes, Animals classes, and survival skills. Talent show and skit night is tonight. See you tomorrow!

Wednesday

Students were very busy today with all the activities going on. Groups rotated through rock climbing, canoeing, team building, survival skills and trees. You will see photos in the slideshow of students who were recognized for the camp's character traits awarded by their group counselor. The weather was beautiful today with a nice cool breeze. Lower temps expected tomorrow.

Tuesday

It is a beautiful day to be at camp. Students woke up to breakfast burritos and cereal for breakfast. With bellies full they were ready for the adventures of the day. Students have been working on their survival skills, canoeing, team building, and learning about trees and birds. After dinner, many of the groups will be going on night hikes.

Monday

We had a great trip up to camp. Campers have settled into their cabins, getting familiar with camp, had pizza and salad bar for lunch and are now getting ready for dinner. Campers loved gaga ball, human foosball and soccer for recess. Activities such as hikes, team building, canoes, archery, candle making, survival skills, animals on the farm and the night hike start tomorrow.
